RPS Kampung Buluh Nipis is situated some 45 minutes drive away from Bandar Muadzam Shah , on the way to Rompin.
One of the many Orang Asli (Indigenous People) villages that was persuaded to enter into a scheme which is now commonly called TSK (Tanaman Semula Komersial) in which through the initiatives of Department of Indigenous Peoples Affairs (JHEOA) , their ancestral land would be converted to agricultural schemes with the indigenous people’s participation.
This scheme though looks attractive with promises of handsome returns from the cultivation and ultimate harvest and sale of the crops , is now a very unpopular scheme for various reasons, primarily because of mismanagement and lack of supervision from the Department.
The Orang Asli of Buluh Nipis tired of unfulfilled promises are now seeking agricultural independence of their ancestral land. Unfortunately they now complain of various difficulties and obstacles that must be confronted in seeking such agricultural independence.
Among others , the accusation of trespass into their own ancestral land with threats of arrests, threats of removal of some Orang Asli from the participation and enjoyment of the benefit of the scheme, destruction of their orchards and low or no financial returns as promised.
